Dr. Daniel G. Ausbun is a Bible-believing Christian who was saved at 15 years old, called to preach at 16 - and has been educated and raised in Southern Baptist life. Daniel and Sherri are from "The Heart of Dixie," have been married 21 years - have 4 children (Daniel, Jr., Elizabeth, Benjamin & Esther) and live in the "Horse Capital of the World" with a Great Dane & Maine Coon!
Dr. Ausbun has pastored Broadway Baptist Church since January 1, 2017 - the 9th pastor in Broadway's dynamic 70+ year history. Broadway's a Southern Baptist church at the busiest intersection in the commonwealth of Kentucky - a local church with a global mission.
Daniel & Sherri are both graduates of Samford University (B.A.) - Daniel also graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. & Th.M.) and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (D.Min.) - Sherri also graduated from the University of West Georgia (B.S.N.)
Sherri teaches Mission Friends / Children's Choir on Wednesday evenings / toddler Sunday School / a nurse at the Lexington VA Healthcare System & Waldman Schantz Turner Plastic Surgery and Skin Care Center.
Daniel's an Alabama, Kentucky, and Samford fan, Sherri loves Auburn - together they enjoy running, exploring new places, and church - they're training to run the No Business 100 mile race in October 2025. Email Daniel here.
